Tracy’s International Kenpo Karate Association

Tracy’s International Kenpo Karate Association (TIKKA) is a recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to the stewardship of the Tracy System of Kenpo Karate, developed and taught by Al and Jim Tracy and later managed by Al and Pat Tracy. TIKKA exists to preserve, protect, and promote the Tracy System while supporting its continued study and responsible transmission.

Our Mission

Preserve. TIKKA preserves the Tracy System of Kenpo Karate by maintaining its documented material, historical lineage, and technical identity as developed and taught by Al and Pat Tracy.

Protect. TIKKA protects the integrity of the system by providing oversight and formal recognition that prevent dilution, misrepresentation, or loss of the Tracy System’s core principles.

Promote. TIKKA promotes the responsible instruction and continued practice of the Tracy System through sanctioned events, educational resources, and support for qualified practitioners and instructors.

Stewardship of the Tracy System

The Tracy System of Kenpo Karate is a distinct and historically significant martial art. TIKKA exists to ensure that the system’s material, standards, and identity remain intact as it is passed from one generation to the next.

The association provides structure and continuity while respecting the independence of individual instructors and schools. TIKKA does not seek to centralize instruction, but rather to serve as a stable steward of the system’s legitimacy and long-term preservation.

Governance and Oversight

TIKKA is governed by a Board of Directors and supported by a Senior Council appointed by Al Tracy to provide guidance on matters of advanced rank and system integrity.

The association is operated entirely by volunteers. No compensation is provided to Officers, Directors, or members of the Senior Council. All revenue is applied toward administrative operations, instructional materials, events, and initiatives that support the Tracy System of Kenpo Karate.

Membership

Membership in Tracy’s International Kenpo Karate Association is open to individuals who currently study, have studied, or intend to study the Tracy System of Kenpo Karate.

Membership provides formal recognition within the system, access to official materials, and participation in association-sanctioned activities.

About TIKKA

TIKKA was formed to ensure continuity of leadership and administration of the Tracy System following the transition authorized by Pat Tracy. The association operates in accordance with Al Tracy’s expressed intent, with governance provided by the Board of Directors and guidance provided by the Senior Council.
